On 24 August 2026, at the invitation of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation, representatives of the National Healthy Lifestyle and Fitness Association of Uzbekistan and of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia visited the GTO testing centre at the Luzhniki sports complex in Moscow.
During the visit the delegation examined how testing is organised, the methods used to assess physical indicators, and how results are used to build a culture of regular physical activity among the population.
Talks were also held on further cooperation and the exchange of experience in developing mass sport, increasing physical activity and introducing modern tools for assessing physical fitness.
Of particular interest for Uzbekistan is the Russian experience of creating an accessible and easily understood assessment system that motivates people to move more and pay closer attention to their health.
